Lady Savigny

There is an old lady, living in the streets, right in front of my place,
She sits and waits, in the same old spot, every day.
And in the evening, she collects her things and she's hiding away,
To find some rest, to get some sleep.

And while I'm busy to make a living in this crazy world,
I remember her, wonder what her story might be,
Something about addiction or abuse or just bad luck,
It doesn't matter anymore.

And every time I'm passing by, I try to find some words,
Just to be kind and ease her mind.
But usually she keeps quiet, she looks right through me,
But sometimes, yes sometimes, she gives me her smile.

One morning, she wasn't there, she was gone,
No sign of living, no sign of her, she was gone.
And I hope, she is in a better place, maybe she went home,
Where someone at least anyone, will care.

And every time I was passing by, I tried to find some words,
Just to be kind and ease her mind.
But usually she kept quiet, she looked right through me,
But sometimes, yes sometimes, she gave me her smile.
